Woman Likes Mom's New 'Floral' Pattern Pillows, Does Hilarious Double Take When She Looks Closer (Photo)

As much as we all love and treasure our mothers and fathers, sometimes, the actions and outlooks of our parents can be quite embarrassing. For an unnamed woman in Tucson, Arizona, it was her mother’s latest purchase that left her very red in the face. The woman, a regular contributor to the news, media and discussion forum, Reddit, was going about her daily business when she noticed several new pillows that her mother had recently purchased. On initial inspection, the blue and white floral pattern of the pillows appeared to be an excellent furnishing. However, the unnamed woman couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off about the pillows and decided to have a closer look.

Upon closer viewing, the Reddit user, going by the username ‘Waffle_Tw***’, was embarrassed to discover that the pillow’s floral pattern disguised a far more confronting phallic design. The mortified daughter quickly took to Reddit to share her discovery, saying: “My mother bought these throw pillows.” The post became a hot topic on Reddit, receiving several thousand comments after a few hours. One particularly intrigued individual was able to track down the company selling the graphic pillows: LookHuman.com.

On the company’s website, the item’s description makes fun of the pattern, reading: “Looking for a new French toile pattern blanket for your couch? Something that is nice flowery and with mildly offensive genitalia to your mother once she stares at it too long? This subtle floral penis pattern is for you!” It is believed that Ohio based designer, Coey Kuhn, created the explicit fabric design after photos of the pillows were found on his blog and Tumblr page.

Rather than dampen the product’s popularity, the virality of the original woman’s Reddit post is expected to increase sales for LookHuman.com with many Reddit users desperately trying to buy the product. Responses from the Reddit community included: “Thank you, I now have a wedding present for a friend,” “Please Tell me where she bought them,” and “Where does one buy a set of these…Asking for a friend.” While some users were perturbed by the $27.99 price tag of the pillow, the overall response to the original post has been hugely positive and humorous.
