Woman Cackles At Victim's Family In Court, Judge Doesn't Think It's Funny One Bit

The mom of a drunk driver who is going to jail after killing a man was jailed herself after she laughed, mocking the victim's family during an impact statement after the verdict.

Apparently, Amanda Kosal waiting for the judge to tell her how long she would spend in prison for killing father-of-five Jerome Zirker when her mom and a friend laughed loudly.

Judge Qiana Lillard immediately ejected Donna Kosal and another man, then called them “clowns” after Zirker's sister read a statement to the court on behalf of his children.

The judge later orders officers to bring the offending mom back in, and the judge sentences her to 93 days in jail for contempt of court.

Of note, Amanda Kosal pled guilty to killing Jerome Zirker and severely injuring his fiancee Brittany Johnson, both 31.

Kosal hot them head-on in Redford Township last June.
Amanda Kosal was eventually sentenced to three to 15 years in prison in the case.

Judge Lillard was not having any disruptions in her court room. She started with the unidentified boyfriend.

“It's time for him to go,' the judge says looking at him.

“And I don't know who he is, but whoever can sit here at a tragic moment like this and laugh and smile when somebody has lost a family member... in the entire time that Mr. Zirker's sister was speaking that clown, and that's what I am going to call him, a clown, was sitting there smiling and laughing.”

The man is escorted from the room by a bailiff and the judge speaks to Donna Kosal.

“And you can go, too. Because if you don't know how to act, you can go to jail. So leave. Anybody that can sit there and laugh and smirk - take her, she's going in the back - anybody else wanna go?”

“You can go, too. This is a court of law. And these are very serious matters.”

When she came back into the court, the judge told her:

“I understand that you all are very upset because your loved one is going to prison but guess what, she's going to prison for the choices that she made. These people are here grieving, saddened because a senseless act took away their loved one and you're sitting here acting like it's a joke?”

“Anybody else want to go?' the judged asked. 'Try it.'”
