Woman Arrested After Brutally Murdering Her Own Son - Things Take Dark Turn When She Reveals Something Else To Police

Colton Turner, age two, was found buried in a shallow grave in Texas, left there by his parents. The toddler allegedly died of injuries sustained at the hands of his mother. Now his mother has given birth again in prison, and Child Protective Services were there to promptly take the new baby.

Meagan Work and her boyfriend, Michael Turner, were arrested when their 2-year-old son was missing. Work changed her story several times with police before Turner admitted to burying Colton.

Turner took a plea bargain that would put him in jail for 20 years and is testifying against Work. The judge threw out Work's initial statements because the mother didn't have a lawyer. Police say at the time they were just trying to find the missing toddler, hopefully alive.

A witness reported that Work slammed Colton's head against a truck, shook him and slapped him just before the toddler was reported missing. Colton later died of his injuries when the parents neglected to seek medical attention. Michael Turner is the one who led them to Colton's grave. Work has been charged with injury to a child.

The new baby, believed to also be Michael Turner's child, was taken from Work after she gave birth. A judge appointed a lawyer for her new baby until it is decided whether the baby will be placed with a family member or in foster care.
