Woman Accuses 'Silicon Valley' Star TJ Miller Of Punching Her During Sexual Assault

With Hollywood plagued by various accounts of sexual assault, another woman has come forward to accuse HBO star T.J Miller of punching her and attempting to choke her while they dated during college 16 years ago. The victim, who remains unnamed due to “fears of retribution”, dated the actor in 2001 whilst they were studying at George Washington University in Washington.

The unnamed woman has joined the tide of other women who have come forward confessing sexual assault at the hands of famous and influential actors and directors. The woman in question, a student at the George Washington University at the same time as T.J Miller, dated the ‘Silicon Valley’ actor in 2001, where she remembers he shook her “violently” and punched her in the mouth during a sexual encounter, breaking a tooth and leaving her with a bloody lip.

While both Mr. Miller and the woman had been intoxicated during the incident, the woman explicitly recalled memories of the incident. When asked about her injuries the following morning, Mr. Miller told her that she had fallen down whilst drunk.

“I couldn’t bring myself to believe this had happened,” the woman wrote of the initial incident. “It was me not wanting it to be true.” Following this incident, the woman confessed that Mr. Miller was violent a number of other times, recalling that he strangled her during sex and later penetrated her with a beer bottle.

“We started to fool around, and very early in that, he put his hands around my throat and closed them, and I couldn’t breathe,” the woman recalled. “I was genuinely terrified and completely surprised. I understand now that this is for some people a kink, and I continue to believe it is [something] that should be entered into by consenting parties."

"But, as someone who had only begun having sexual encounters, like, about three months earlier, I had no awareness this was a kink, and I had certainly not entered into any agreement that I would be choked. I was fully paralyzed,”

Katie Duffy, the woman’s former roommate during the pair’s alleged relationship, recalled the evening of the incident, revealing that both herself and another, unnamed roommate had heard violent noises and a lot of commotion coming from the victim’s room, prompting her and her other roommate to intervene.

“I knew T.J. was in her bedroom and I was in my bedroom, which was a wall away,” the unknown roommate said. “My [other] roommate was in my bedroom with me and we heard a loud smacking noise, and we were concerned… The very next day when we talked to [the victim], she was very upset, and… had said he had hit her in a very violent way.”

Ms. Duffy recalled that the woman “looked like she had been through a rough night,” after and stated she “recall[ed] seeing bruises.”

“One roommate asked if she wanted to go to the police. Others offered to take her to hospital, given how she looked.”

Refusing to do either, the victim filed a complaint with campus police almost a year following the incident; however, after a lengthy two weeks of deliberation in the student court, the matter was dismissed and Mr. Miller went unpunished.

After coming forward, Mr. Miller and his partner were quick to deny the allegations, claiming that the victim was using the “current climate to bandwagon and launch these false accusations again.”

“It is unfortunate that she is choosing this route as it undermines the important movement to make women feel safe coming forward about legitimate claims against real known predators,” said Miller. The patronizing comment is already being slammed across social media platforms.
