While Inspecting An Injured Boy's Home, Officials Discover Family’s Dark Secret

Cynthia Morris started a GoFundMe account to raise money for her son’s medical expenses, and plenty of well-meaning people were happy to pitch in. As Fox 8 reports, those same people are scratching their heads right about now, as it’s been discovered that the family’s home contains a meth lab.

Morris’s 11-year-old son was severely injured by a hit-and-run driver, and the case made the local headlines. At the time, she explained that things were rough on her family in a financial sense, and the donation page was set up soon thereafter. More than $1,800 dollars was contributed, but some of those folks are undoubtedly interested in refunds right about now.

Local police had been surveilling the boy’s father, JJ Williams, and finally had enough evidence to go take a closer look.

"There was actually a false wall built in front of it and part of that wall came away which was padlocked and then the meth lab was in that room," explained Police Sgt. Michael Yarian.

Both Morris and Williams are facing some serious charges. Those that are looking for refunds on donations are instructed to contact Morris directly.
