This Is What A Two-Year-Old Who Was Starved, Abandoned By His Own Family Looks Like Now (PHOTOS)

A care worker in Africa found an innocent two-year-old child that was callously left by the side of the road to fend for himself and immediately sprang into action. According to the Daily Mail, the Nigerian child’s parents abandoned him due to fears that he was a ‘witch child.’

Anja Ringgren Loven, the founder of African Children’s Aid Education and Development Foundation, is a Danish woman that makes her home in Africa, a foundation that was coincidentally created to help so-called witch children find a better life. She happened upon the boy in her travels, and he was in need of medical attention. Anja found him not only fending for himself, but extremely emaciated and riddled with worms, and she would quickly have him transported to the nearest hospital.

Her contributions to the boy’s recovery did not stop there. Anja would raise awareness about the poor boy’s situation, and more than $1 million has been donated to assist with his recovery. The boy, who has been named Hope, has made a miraculous recovery and even gained weight. He seems to be thoroughly enjoying his new surroundings as well.

“As you can see on the pictures, Hope is really enjoying his life now having 35 new brothers and sisters who ALL take such good care of him, play with him, study with him, and make sure he is safe and is getting a lot of love,” Anja wrote with the pictures she shared on Facebook.
