Stranger Helps Mother Who Has Son In Hospital

It seems as though random acts of kindness are running rampant all across the globe. The latest edition comes from Australia. A good Samaritan, known only as Laura, helped to make a mom’s time in the hospital with her son a bit more bearable.

The mother, who has not been identified, spent several days in Canberra Hospital with her son, who was only nine weeks old. When they were discharged, the mom noticed a parking ticket on her windshield.

Yet, she was in for a pleasant surprise when she removed the ticket. When she opened up the envelope, she discovered that the ticket was not all that was inside. She also found a note that let her know the fine had already been paid – by a complete stranger.

The mom who received this kind gesture runs a Facebook group, Canberra Mums, and posted a pic of the note to the site. The note begins, “Hi there, I saw your car had a parking ticket on it, I’m sure whatever you are going through at the hospital is tough enough so I have paid for you.”

The only signature on the note was Laura and after a few payment details, she signed off “Hope things get better.” The mother wrote on Facebook that after days in the hospital, a parking ticket was the last thing she needed. She also stated that she hoped Laura saw her post and knows how much it was appreciated.
