Professor Goes Above and Beyond the Call of Duty for Student in Need

There's no doubt that many teachers are very dedicated to seeing their students succeed. One college professor proved this by offering to babysit for a student so she could take a test.

Monica Willard had an exam on December 2, but her babysitter canceled on her at the last minute. Not knowing what to do, the mom brought her son Marcus (4) and daughter Mikayla (5) to class with her at the University of Louisville. She had them sit outside the classroom while she took the exam.

Marcus started banging on the door. Professor Daniel Krebs stepped up, and stepped outside the door to watch the kids.

"He could have been really mad or upset about it," said Willard. "But the fact that he was so kind and understanding of that, it was the world, it meant the world."

According to Krebs, it was no big deal. "A person like Monica, she's a noncommissioned officer going to school, she's a mom of two kids. I mean that's the kind of thing that's really impressive," the professor said to ABC News.

"Me handling her kids for 40, 45 minutes, that's not impressive," Krebs added.

Don’t sell yourself short, professor; it was a very good deed you did.
