Police Officers Step Up Big Time For This Bride

On Saturday, Kirsten, the daughter of Pierce County sheriff's Deputy Walter "Kent" Mundell, Jr. got married. Unfortunately, Kirsten's father could not walk her down the aisle because he was killed in the line of duty in 2009 after responding to a domestic dispute call. When he died at the hospital, he was surrounded by his family and fellow officers. Six years later, four local law enforcement officers wanted to help make Kirsten's wedding day unforgettable.

It started with Seattle Police Det. Don Jones walking Kirsten down the aisle. Then, at the reception, three Pierce County sheriff's deputies took turns dancing with Kirsten during the traditional father-daughter dance -- bringing Kirsten to tears. Angela Lyons took photos and posted them, along with the story, to her Facebook page. It has since been shared over 5,000 times in under two days. Lyons wrote, "everything looked blurry through the tears." The pictures also show a chair in the front row dedicated to the fallen deputy.
