Pastor's Home Destroyed By Fire- Shocked When He Sees What Survived The Flames

While it can be incredibly tough to see it at the time, there can be some positive signs that emerge in the wake of a personal tragedy. This family from West Palm Beach, Florida lost nearly everything in a house fire, and they’re lucky to be alive.

As CBS 12 shares, something else made it through the fire, and it’s nothing short of amazing.

The home belonged to Pastor Elvis Vindel, and he firmly believes that God helped protect his family. Based on the fact that several bibles survived the fire as well, we’ll take him at his word.

The family’s amazing tale has been attracting a ton of interest since the network shared the story on social media.

“Pastor will hold church service with one of the Bible's spared in fire. His family of 9 lost everything after home went up in flames,” read one post.

“The Vindel family holds on to faith after fire tears through home. 6 of 7 children seen here, they're ready to begin church service,” read another post.

The family was fortunate enough to wake up as fire engulfed their home. They were able to escape, but the family dog wasn’t as fortunate.

“So my Dad comes running here, he starts knocking on this door right here and telling us open the door, we have to get out!” explained Anai Vindel as she recently toured the house.
“This is where it happened in this room right in here. There’s absolutely nothing left in there.”

Amazingly, none of the bibles in the home were seriously damaged in the fire. We’re not just talking about a few either, as there were as many as 30 scattered around the house.

“When we saw it this just proved it was a confirmation from God telling us he does exist,” Anai continued.

Pastor Vindel wholeheartedly concurs.

“That is called power of God, that’s called supernatural power of God,” he said. “I feel happy with everything that has happened because better things will come.”

“It happens for a reason. God is going to be with us. And we have faith that everything from here on is just going to get better,” said Anai.

“I know losing a home is not easy but we got to stand firm and just put your faith in God,” added Sheili Vindel. The family’s faith and strength is incredibly admirable, but they will still have their hands full getting their lives together.

As such, a GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family in their time of need.

This is a devastating set of circumstances, but it could’ve been far worse. As they always do, they will lean on their faith to get them through it.

Needless to say, it sounds like their collective faith has been bolstered even further. We would imagine the bibles that survived the fire will be staying in the family for the foreseeable future, as they will serve as a powerful reminder of the family’s faith, strength and good fortune to be alive.
