OJ Simpson's Shocking Post-Prison Plans Revealed

OJ Simpson will soon be starting a new chapter in his life, and some of his future plans have come to light.

Retirement dreams creep into all of our thoughts from time to time. Doing away with the daily grind and setting forth on a life filled with leisure and pursuing our passions sounds awfully appealing, and it can be even more attractive during particularly rough stretches. Those same thoughts are the ones that can help us keep on pushing down the road, as there may very well be a light off in the distance if we push hard enough.

Of course, retirement means different things for different people. While some are financially able to completely hang it up, others find themselves with some different circumstances. They may be able to cut back a bit on work as they advance in age, but their complete retirement dreams remain on hold. In a perfect world, it will just be a sidetrack that they have to navigate through, and they’ll achieve their goals just a little bit later than they wanted to.

We can include OJ Simpson in that category, but his retirement dreams have been placed on hold for completely different reasons. Simpson has been locked up behind bars in Las Vegas, but his light at the end of the tunnel is fast approaching. He’ll be a free man before he knows it, and it could be as soon as October 1. As TMZ shares, Simpson is thoroughly looking forward to his leisure time.

“O.J.'s lawyer, Malcolm LaVergne, tells TMZ ... Juice, for starters, has narrowed down around 5 potential residences of where he might live in Florida following his prison release. He'll have to submit a parole plan on exactly where he'll live, so he's still mulling it over,” TMZ reports. “As for who owns the homes ... not his 2 kids. LaVergne says there's no rift between O.J. and his children, but he doesn't want to impose and draw unwanted attention to them. So the people who own the homes, LaVergne says, are 'wealthy and supportive friends.'"

Wherever Simpson hangs his hat, he plans to play as much golf as possible while laying low. He should have no trouble doing the former, but the latter may remain out of his reach for the remainder of his life on Earth. Simpson is a huge topic of fascination for the general public. As such, we can expect him to receive round the clock media attention for even his most mundane activities.

Upon his release, Simpson will have served nine years of his 33-year sentence for a botched robbery in Nevada. Simpson has long contended that he was merely trying to get his stuff back, and the man that he allegedly robbed even spoke on his behalf at his parole hearing earlier this year. That makes his sentencing for the crime all the more curious, and it’s been widely speculated that the judge in that case threw as many books as possible at him because he walked away scot free from the so-called ‘Trial of the Century.’

As for his desire to lay low, we’ll see how long that lasts once the mind-blowing offers for tell-all interviews roll in.
