Officials Reveal What Mother Was Doing Right Before Crash That Killed Her Daughter And Nieces

Answers have emerged on a tragic car accident that claimed the lives of three young children. According to the Star Tribune, the driver was chatting on Facebook while behind the wheel.

Kari J. Milberg, 34, was driving her SUV when it spun out of control in Prescott, WI. The vehicle would slide into the path of an oncoming truck, and three young children that were riding in the SUV would lose their lives. Milberg and her three-year-old son survived, and the occupants of the truck were not injured.

Investigation into the cause of the accident has revealed that Milberg was sending and receiving Facebook messages up until approximately two minutes before the fatal accident.

"Driver distraction may explain why Milberg deviated from her southbound lane of travel to the outside shoulder before losing control," a report from the Wisconsin State Patrol reads in part.

Milberg is facing a host of charges, including three counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.
