Mother Issues Warning To Other Parents After This Happened To Her 11-Month-Old (Photos)

Medical experts warn chicken pox is a serious worry for babies and senior citizens. This fact is driven home in new pics of a baby boy who was too young to be immunized against chickenpox that have been circulating on the internet. The photos show a baby in a crib whose face is covered with ugly chicken pox sores.

The mom of the sick child posted the pics to encourage other parents to get their children vaccinated as soon as possible.

Brisbane, Australia mom Kayley Burke posted the warning on Facebook recently when her 11-month-old son Elijah landed in the hospital with chicken pox.

Of course, Kayley and her daughter Kaliah became infected a few days later.

As her post pointed out: "Our poor baby boy who is too young to be immunised has caught the chickenpox. It has almost been a week since they showed up. Today he was admitted to Ipswich Hospital with a secondary infection."

She continued, "adult chickenpox is so horrible and painful I would much rather give birth with no pain relief."

Kayley's post focused on parents needing to prioritize vaccinations for their children.

She concluded her post with a blunt warning: "Bottom line, if you don¹t you’re a bloody idiot. Think about the risk you are putting on other helpless kids that are too young or who actually can¹t be vaccinated."
