Mother Calls Police When She Noticed This In Her Daughter's Fries (Photos)

An Ohio mother is consulting a lawyer after her 4-year-old ate french fries laced with marijuana from a Wendy’s in Huber Heights. According to WHIO, Dezeray Risner said she ordered a child’s meal to-go from Wendy’s and gave it to her daughter.

Her daughter then said that the fries were “yucky” so she went to take a look at the food and noticed it was covered in a leafy green substance that had a strong odor of marijuana.

“So I told her to spit it in my hand, (and) I just kind of reached my arm back,” Risner told WHIO. “She did and when I looked at it, you could see it. It was chewed up with the french fries. There was the weed in there, the wrap that it goes in or whatever. I freaked out.”

The child was brought to the hospital for testing and her mother is waiting on the results. She filed a police report and the police are currently investigation, however they said it would be unlikely that they will be able to determine if the marijuana came from Wendy’s or elsewhere.

“This should not happen under any circumstances. You’re taking your child through Wendy’s to get some fries, to get a meal. And then your child … has ingested marijuana. That’s pretty ridiculous from my standpoint,” her lawyer Michael Wright said.

Wendy’s issued the following statement on the incident:

“Please know all of our customers as well as the quality and integrity of our food are a top priority at Wendy’s and we are taking this very seriously. We are currently conducting a thorough internal investigation and the Human Resource and Legal departments are both fully cooperating with police in their investigation. We will get to the bottom of this issue as soon as possible. It is as important to us as it is to the community.”
