Man Threatens To Kill Over Elk

Kenrick Workman is a Montana man who was arrested after threatening to shoot two men over road kill.

Workman was taken into custody around 5:15 p.m. Saturday on a roadside near Bozeman. He had confronted two men over a wounded elk. The Madison County sheriff said the elk was struck by a vehicle along Highway 84 earlier that day.

Two men waited for the injured animal to die in order to use its meat. Workman, 52, saw the men from his home and drove over to confront them. The sheriff states that Workman shoved one of the men, grabbed a gun and threatened to shoot them in an "elk rage" attack.

The men called 911, and Workman was arrested. In addition, he had open warrants for drunken driving and other driving-related charges. Workman was also charged with assault with a firearm and resisting arrest.
