Man Kills Self In Court After Being Convicted Of Killing Wife

Homicide trials can sometimes be chock full of surprises that generate shock and awe from those in attendance. According to the Daily Mail, the closing of this trial just may take the cake on the shock and awe scale.

Mark Ward Faville was convicted of the voluntary manslaughter of his wife Anne, whose death Mark originally reported as a case of the woman choking on a chicken wing. During the trial, evidence emerged that had suggested Anne was preparing to leave her husband for Chris Crowley, which apparently led to Mark suffocating his wife.

The couple’s two daughters testified against their father during the trial, indicating that they had seen some erratic behavior from Mark following Anne’s death. As shocking and sordid as all of this sounds for the Faville family, what Mark would do as he was led out of the courtroom just may be the most shocking aspect of the whole story.

As deputies led him away after the verdict was read, Mark managed to take his own life right in the courthouse with the deputies by his side. The daughters have now lost both their mother and father in a horrifying manner, and must come to terms with the circumstances that led to both passing away.
