Man Arrested After Threatening Killing Spree on Facebook

Jeremie Montgomery, 28, of Chilton County, Alabama was arrested after he posted on Facebook "I got 30 rounds and I trying to used the whole clip and some more.” He posted this on Sunday along with a picture of himself holding what appears to be a rifle. "They messed over the wrong person and its not about to go down like that…"

In addition, he named a bakery and distribution center where he used to work--First Flowers Bakery in Birmingham and Alabama Crown Distributing Co in nearby Alabaster. The distribution company said he was let go, two months ago, for failing to show up to work on time.

He also wrote that he wanted to "OPEN THE GOVERNMENT EYES UP" to the problem.

Police learned of the post around 11.30am and Montgomery was taken into custody at 12.44pm. The Chilton County Sheriff's Office said that a SWAT team was dispatched to arrest Montgomery at his house and that it “takes these type of threats seriously."

After his "killing spree" post, Montgomery wrote, "NOW I HOPE YOU GUYS DONT ACTUALLY THINK I WAS GOING TO HURT ANY ONE...WITH A GUN THAT HAS BEEN TURNT IN TO BIRMINGHAM POLICE DEPARTMENT OVER 5 YEARS AGO."
