Maine Family's Christmas Display Shows What They Really Think of ISIS

One Christmas display in Maine was not exactly in the traditional spirit of the season. Neighbors called to report the display, but it turned out there was a little misconception about it.

An unnamed family in Maine designed their holiday display to show what they really think of ISIS. At first, neighbors saw the big letters 'ISIS' and thought they were terrorist sympathizers. Phone calls poured into the local sheriff's office to report the family.

Deputies went to investigate. What the neighbors missed was the figure of Santa on the upper deck with a string of lights cascading down. It was meant to look like Santa is urinating on ISIS.

The homeowner re-arranged the lights to better show his initial intentions. According to Sheriff William King Jr., 'no law was broken and we did not tell him to take the lights down or to reconfigure anything.'

King adds, "He probably should've [used] yellow lights."
