Have You Heard Of A Cucamelon? These Tiny Fruits Are Delicious

Nothing healthier or more refreshing than a snack of fresh fruit. If you're tired of the same old same old, try something new and exciting: the cucamelon.

The cucamelon is known as the 'Mexican sour gherkin' in Mexico, and also as the 'mouse melon.' They are actually part of the cucumber family, but they look like tiny, bite-sized watermelon.

These adorable little melons taste like cucumbers mixed with a nice citrus punch. They're very crunchy and fun to just pop into your mouth. You can also slice them up for salads, pickle them, or use them as a garnish for beverages. Just see what your guests say when you hand them a cocktail with a tiny watermelon on a bamboo pick.

Some farmer's markets carry cucamelons, but if you can't find them and are dying to try them, you might want to try your hand at growing your own. Cucamelons are easy to grow, you can even plant them in a flower pot. A single plant will give an ample harvest.
