Girls Run Off Laughing After Attacking This Elderly Man - They Never Saw What Was Around The Corner Coming

Police have arrested two teenage girls after they attacked a 61-year-old man at his home in Syracuse, New York. When the man politely asked the two teens to not sit and loiter in his front yard, the teens responded by viciously hitting the man. The man was punched twice in the face area while an onlooker filmed the incident. The elderly gentleman proceeded to chase one of the teens down the street before being grabbed by another young girl. The man then stumbled to the ground in the middle of the street, his walking cane flying out of his hands, while bystanders can be heard laughing. No one attempted to assist the man. The unnamed man, although not seriously injured, was nursing a bruised eye after the event.

Although the two girls cannot be named, police have confirmed their identities and age of the two girls. The fourteen and fifteen-year-old are facing charges of third-degree assault and have been released to their parents on appearance tickets. The mother of one of the young girls has spoken out, telling reporters that what her daughter did was ‘uncalled for’ and that she apologizes for the harm she caused. The mother also indicated that her daughter would be taking full responsibility for her actions and would accept whatever the consequences may be. Police have released a statement regarding the matter, indicating that they believe juvenile arrests of both girls would be made.

The video, posted on Facebook, has had more than a million views and was said to reach relatives of the man in countries as far away as Ireland. Neighbor Gary Willis has also spoken out about the event, expressing his displeasure at seeing the abuse: ‘There should be a closer level of respect from both sides’. While it is clear that this attack was unwarranted, it is not known what occurred before the video began and if there were any other factors involved in the incident.
