Find A Coin Stuck In Your Car Door? Here's What It Means

Car thieves are always coming up with new and inventive ideas to get their job done more quickly and easily. They've learned a new way to get into your car without a key; all they need is a coin.

If you ever come back to your car and find a coin stuck in the passenger side door handle, call the police-- you're a robbery target. Car thieves are putting the coins in the passenger side in hopes that the driver won't notices. When you get in and drive away, they'll follow you home.

When you get out of your car and try to lock it automatically, the coin will jam the locking mechanism. After you walk away, the thief can easily open the passenger side door and rob your car.

If you're very unlucky, the thief might hide out in the back of the car and crouch down, waiting for you to return. After you turn on the motor, you'll be carjacked.

You can avoid disaster by taking a quick walk around your car to make sure there are no coins stuck in any door handles. Unfortunately, at this point, a lot of people don't even know about this new trick, so warn your friends and neighbors.
