Father Of The Year Supports His Daughter By Peeing In His Pants

Utah dad Ben Sowards has 11 children, so he knows a thing or two about how to deal with kid’s problems. Sowards is known in his social circles as a dad’s dad, but he recently went the extra mile for his youngest child, a kindergartener named Valerie.

According to his oldest daughter Lucinda, Sowards has always taught them that “as a family, [they] are all on the same team.”
So what Ben decided to do when he received a call from his daughter Valerie's school to let him know that she had an accident and was crying from embarrassment was not all that surprising.

Lucinda says that Ben is constantly making sweet gestures toward his children, and has been doing this kind of thing as long as she can remember.

When Lucinda walked into the kitchen and saw her father pouring water onto the crotch of his pants before walking out of the house to pick up Valerie (with “wet” pants), she said she knew what had happened even before he told her.

She commented in an interview with a local Cedar City TV station: “This is definitely the first time he has ever fake 'wet' his pants, but...”

It seems that after the accident, Valerie wrapped her sweatshirt around her waist and walked to the school office to call her dad.
The scared little girl was amazed when her dad showed up at school with wet pants.

Lucinda describes the scene: “She just looked at him ... just in awe. He pretended like they were sneaking out of the school together like they were both getting away with something.”

When 17-year-old Lucinda posted a tweet about her amazing dad a bit later, the world took notice.

Apparently, Lucinda's tweet about her dad has been retweeted over 62,000 times. Ben remarked that he just hoped people would remember how important family is when “meeting life's challenges.”
