Expert Packs Enough Items To Travel For A Year Into A Carry-on Bag

The cost of luggage is getting ridiculous these days. More and more fliers are trying to fit everything they need on a carry-on bag in hopes of avoiding fees. The Daily Mail featured a video from one expert packer who put more than 100 items into her carry-on bag.

Rachel Grant demonstrates how to super-pack a carry-on bag. She starts with a rolling rack full of clothing, and two beds full of accessories, shoes and supplies.

Grant's trick is using rubber bands, zip lock bags and packing cubes. This keeps everything as compressed and as organized as possible.

One thing Grant recommends is that you opt for light-weight fabrics instead of heavy clothing. Maybe that's why summer vacations are so much more popular than traveling in the winter months.

By the end of the video, Grant achieved her goal of stuffing more than 100 items on her carry-on - enough clothing and accessories to let her travel for a year! That is an impressive feat.
