Do You Think You Can Find The Camouflaged Marine? Most People Can't (Photos)

Camouflage print has become synonymous with the military and soldiers. So much so, that’s it's easy to forget that the print has a purpose.

A purpose that could mean the difference between a soldier living or dying.

According to Wikipedia:

“The French slang word camouflage came into common English usage during World War I when the concept of visual deception developed into an essential part of modern military tactics. In that war, long-range artillery and observation from the air combined to expand the field of fire, and camouflage was widely used to decrease the danger of being targeted or to enable surprise. As such, military camouflage is a form of military deception.”

Business Insider reports that US Marine Brent Downing also see camouflage as an art form.

His YouTube show has a segment called “Camouflage Effectiveness Series,” that highlights camo techniques from around the world, which the expert camouflage recreates.

The way Downing can camouflage to hide in plain sight is absolutely astounding. Can you see him? Either way, he can see you.
