Couple Allow Their Children To Have Sleepovers - Dark Secret Revealed

A twisted couple from Santa Clarita, California has already been accused of molesting eight children, but local authorities have reason to believe there may be many more victims out there. Francisco Avendano, 42, and Jacqueline Wadsworth, 32, were initially arrested on suspicion of molesting two children, but six more potential victims were identified soon thereafter. Police are encouraging additional victims to come forward in what they have described as 'a horrific story.'

As the Daily Mail reports, the investigation began after a 12-year-old boy told his mother that he had been abused during a sleepover at the couple’s home. Turns out he wasn’t the only potential victim, as the couple made a habit of befriending neighborhood children and having sleepovers at their home.

“Our fear is that there are other children victimized by this couple. It’s a horrific story,” explained Sergeant Brian Hudson of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau.

The couple has lived in various locations in the area over the past 15 years, and the authorities believe a wave of assaults may have taken place over the past decade.

Avendano would befriend neighborhood children and the friends of family members, and then sexually assault them. Many times they've threatened the kids that "If you say something, I will harm you, I will harm your family,’” Hudson continued.

The victims are believed to be as young as three-years-old. The couple was initially charged with two felony counts of lewd acts on a child under 14 and one count of a lewd act on a child aged 14, but those charges have been ramped up. Avendano is now facing seven felony counts related to the assaults in total, and his bail has been set at $2 million.

Wadsworth’s bail has been set at $200,000, and the couple has pled not guilty to the initial charges. The couple’s own children were removed from their custody after the arrests, and police are encouraging anyone with information related to this disturbing investigation to come forward as soon as possible.
