Butcher In Big Trouble After Inspector Reveals What He Sold To Muslims

For three years, a butcher in Switzerland has been telling his Muslim customers that his meat was Halal when he was actually selling them pork.

In fact, he sold over three tons of pork to Muslim customers. An inspector recently went through the butchery and noticed that the meat being sold didn’t look like cow meat.

The prosecutor in the case said, “If customers had known it was pork, they would not have bought it because Islam forbids the consumption of this type of meat."

The butcher chose to use pork because it was cheaper and would ensure a larger profit when priced as more expensive meat. The butcher has now been convicted of “fraud and misrepresentation” and will spend six months in jail. He also has to pay over $18,000 in fines.
