Broaddrick Calls Joy Behar Out After Referring To Bill Clinton's Accusers As 'Tramps'

Fans of the talk show 'The View' have heard some pretty controversial comments from the women seated around that table. A recent comment really raised hackles of sexual assault victims. This week, the co-host who made the comment apologized for it.

Joy Behar, who has sporadically co-hosted 'The View' since it first aired in 1997, has always been a very vocal liberal in support of the Democratic party. Behar got a lot of flak Monday when she called the women who have accused former president Bill Clinton of sexual assault 'tramps.'

Republican candidate Donald Trump came to the debate with two women who accused former president Bill Clinton of sexual harassment and one who accused him of rape. He attempted to deflect the recent audio release that caught him during offensive 'locker room talk' by pointing out that Bill Clinton is 'worse.' He also said Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was just as bad as her husband, claiming Mrs. Clinton 'attacked them viciously' when the women made the accusations.

Hillary Clinton has said nothing about her husband's accusers during this election. 'The View' panel wondered what Mrs. Clinton could have said to address the issue in the debate. Behar speculated that there was nothing she could really say in such an awkward situation. Attempting a joke, Behar illustrated her point with an absurd hypothetical comment: “'I would like to apologize to those tramps that have slept with my husband.’ Maybe she could have said that.”

People on social media were quick to call Behar out on the use of the word 'tramp' to describe alleged sexual assault victims. One person, in particular, was Juanita Broaddrick stating that Joy Behar should be ashamed of herself for calling victims 'tramps.'

"People like u are responsible for rape culture," tweeted one person at Behar.

Behar looked right into the camera the next day to make amends. “I want to apologize," she said. "I never, ever intend to belittle sexual assault and the women who are victims of it ever... I made a joke... I’m sorry.”
