‘Deadliest Catch’ Star Viciously Attacked, Left For Dead - His Big Brother Decided To Take Matters Into His Own Hands

A fisherman on the Discovery Channel's reality TV show 'Deadliest Catch' was brutalized and robbed on Saturday night, then left for dead on the side of the road. He suffered some serious injuries, and his brother is now seeking justice.

Jake Harris, affectionately referred to as 'one half of Ding & Dong' by his late father Phil Harris, is a career fisherman and reality television star. Harris was found by a passerby on the street Saturday night after he had been beaten and thrown out of a moving vehicle. Police arrived and wanted to take Harris to the hospital, but he refused and was driven home.

Brother Josh Harris was there and insisted on bringing the 31-year-old to the emergency room. Doctors found Harris suffered from a cracked skull and brain damage.

Josh is now asking people to help him in his quest for justice for Jake. “I have located these people and talked with him — he’s in ICU right now," said Josh. "Some individuals beat him to the point where it cracked his skull from his forehead all the way back to where you would be balding as an individual. My brother is bleeding out of his brain currently.”

Witnesses reported seeing Jake get into a car with three people. Soon after, they began attacking him and beating him. When they finished beating him, they robbed him and dumped his body.

The protective big brother posted photos of two individuals involved: Amanda Ritter and Jorel Fultz. The two were arrested.

Josh tweeted a hearty thanks to the police department and fans for helping apprehend the individuals. As for Jake, Josh says, "He's pretty messed up. Hopefully, one day, we'll get him back fishing again.”

Harris remains in the ICU but doctors expect him to fully recover.
