Mother Furious After Taking One Look At Her Son’s Homework - Sends This Note To His Teacher

A mother in California was shocked by her 7th grade son's homework assignment. The teacher told students to listen to the Muslim call to prayers. The Christian mom is infuriated that Islam is taught in public schools while any mention of Christianity is banned.

Tara Cali took to Facebook to vent her frustrations over the homework assignment. She posted a picture of the assignment paper and the message she wrote to the teacher.

"My son WILL not be a part of this in any sort of way. This is bad teaching material. He will NOT partake, If you have a problem with it, call our lawyer," said Cali to the teacher.

Cali listed several Bible verses for the teacher to prove her point.

The American Civil Liberties Union says it's not Constitutional for schools to advance the beliefs of any religion, however there's nothing wrong with teaching students about a religion.

"The school's approach to religion is academic, not devotional," said a statement from the ACLU. "The school may sponsor study about religion, but may not sponsor the practice of religion."

According to the ACLU, the school can't single out any religion, though many Christian parents feel that public schools are giving Islam leeway that they refuse to give Christianity.
