Young Barron Trump Takes Entire Class On Field Trip To White House

When your father is the most powerful man in the nation, there’s a pretty good chance that you can pull some strings to make things happen. Barron Trump did just that recently, as he was able to take his entire fifth-grade class on a field trip to the White House. As the Daily Mail shares, it sounds like the kids were tickled at the opportunity.

Barron, 11, is finishing out the school year at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York City. What better way to close out the school year than a trip to the nation’s capital? That would have been enough for a memorable day in and of itself, but the entire lot was able to head to the White House to meet the President and First Lady.

“All the kids got dressed up: The girls were in dresses and the boys wore khaki pants and button-downs. It was so cute. They had a buffet lunch and a tour of the White House and met the president and the first lady, Melania Trump,” a source said.

All told, 80 kids made the trek, and they were accompanied by teachers and assigned Secret Service agents.

“President Trump gave them all a rousing speech about living up to your potential and being the best you could be for your country. Barron was really sweet. He was so excited to show his classmates around the White House,” the source continued.

It’s common knowledge that the Trump’s wanted to afford their son the opportunity to finish out the school year before uprooting him to attend school near the nation’s capital. He’ll be doing just that next year, as he’ll begin attending the prestigious St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Potomac, Maryland in the fall.

“We are very excited for our son to attend St. Andrew's Episcopal School. It is known for its diverse community and commitment to academic excellence,” a statement from Melania Trump read in part. “The mission of St. Andrew's is 'to know and inspire each child in an inclusive community dedicated to exceptional teaching, learning, and service,' all of which appealed to our family. We look forward to the coming school years at St. Andrew's.”

To smooth out the transition, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see the president and First Lady organize another field trip with his new classmates sometime next year.
