Trump Staffer Rips Media’s Reporting Of Sex-Abuse Charges

Kellyanne Conway, Donald Trump’s campaign manager, continued to stand by the Republican presidential nominee on Sunday, when he vowed to sue the women accusing him of inappropriate sexual contact.

“He’s just trying to defend himself against false accusers, as he says,” Conway told Fox News, according to The Hill. She added: “He says those incidents never happened, yet they’re covered in the media every single day.”

During a campaign rally in Gettysburg, Pa., Trump repeated his allegation that Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is behind charges that he has kissed and fondled a number of women against their will over the years. “They’re trying to poison the mind of the American voter,” he said. “Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign. Total fabrication. The events never happened — never. All of these liars will be sued after the election is over.”

Conway accused news reporters of ignoring Trump’s policy proposals, “and yet they imbue credibility” to women’s stories about the real-estate mogul sexually assaulting them. Eleven accusers have come forward since the revelation of a 2005 audio recording in which Trump bragged about kissing and groping. He also said in the tape, from the filming of an “Access Hollywood” television show, that he had tried to have sex with a married woman.

Regarding Clinton’s lead in the presidential race, Conway suggested that Trump can still win by coming from behind in several key states. Recent polls have shown the Democrat expanding her lead.
