Trump Leaves Audience Stunned After Saying Daughter Ivanka....

Donald Trump recently made some remarks about his daughter that have left observers feeling a little uncomfortable.

The president’s affection for his daughter was on display Wednesday when Ivanka Trump made a public appearance with him in North Dakota.

The New York Post reported that the president, while outlining his tax-cut proposals to a receptive audience, invited his 35-year-old daughter onto the stage. He explained that she had asked to accompany him on the trip. “She said, ‘Daddy, can I go with you?’ I like that. I said, ‘Yes, you can,’” he recalled.

Trump suggested that Ivanka, a fashion and accessories entrepreneur with three children who serves as an unpaid White House adviser, is proof that he has done some things right in his life. “Sometimes, they’ll say, ‘He can’t be that bad a guy; look at Ivanka.’ Come on up, honey. She’s so good,” the president said.

Ivanka told the crowd: “Hi, North Dakota, we love this state, so it’s always a pleasure to be back here. You treated us very, very well in November and have continued to, so we like showing the love back.” Her father affectionately said to her: “Thank you, honey. Thanks, baby.” He then kissed her on the cheek.

Trump frequently praises his eldest daughter, sometimes in ways that people consider inappropriate. According to The Huffington Post, he has made several creepy remarks about her looks over the years. The website pointed to a story by The Associated Press in which eight crew members from Trump’s former NBC reality show “The Apprentice” remembered him comparing a female camera operator’s appearance with Ivanka. He allegedly went on to make sexist comments about the woman’s butt.

Poppy Carlig said that when she was a contestant on the show, Trump asked her to spin around so he could examine her. “He said I reminded him of his daughter and I thought that was really touching because I know how much he values his family,” Carlig told the AP.

In 2006, during an appearance on ABC’s “The View,” Trump remarked that “if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps, I would be dating her.” In 2015, he told Rolling Stone magazine: “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father ….” Another strange remark came in 1999 on Howard Stern’s talk show. Trump claimed that Ivanka, who was 17 years old at the time, had asked him to never date a woman younger than her.

Trump’s long-time practice of demeaning women continued during the 2016 presidential campaign. In one debate, moderator Megyn Kelly listed some of the derogatory terms the real-estate mogul had used to describe various women. Following the event, Trump said Kelly must have “had blood coming out of her wherever.” Later in the campaign, he ridiculed a former winner of the “Miss Universe” pageant, Alicia Machado, after she revealed that he had called her “Miss Piggy.”

Hillary Clinton, in her soon-to-be-released book about the presidential race, wrote that Trump made her “skin crawl” at a debate when he menacingly stood right behind her as she spoke.
