Trump: Clinton ‘Shouldn’t Be Allowed to Run’

Hillary Clinton does not deserve to be a presidential candidate, according to front-running Republican Donald Trump.

“I mean, honestly, she shouldn’t be allowed to run,” the billionaire businessman declared Saturday while campaigning in Georgia. “No, she shouldn’t be.”

Trump cited Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was President Obama’s first secretary of state, The Hill reported. FBI analysts continue to search the server to determine whether classified government information was compromised. Clinton claims she did not transmit secret documents, and continues to deny any wrongdoing. In September, she surrendered the remainder of her government-related emails to the State Department.

Trump suggested that Clinton is benefitting from her party affiliation. “I can tell you this, if that were a Republican that did what she did with the emails, they would have been in jail 12 months ago,” he said. “They would have been in jail. It’s a very unfair system. It is a very, very unfair system.”

The Hill noted that Herman Cain, who sought the GOP nomination in 2012, introduced Trump at the rally. “The thing that I’d emphasize to him, and I’ve done it before, is to stick to substance,” Cain said. “Substance, substance, substance. And he’s got plenty of substance. … I think he’s doing great. But you have a lot of people waiting for him to go into free fall.”
