Spicer Makes Shocking Comment About Vice President Pence After Being Ousted

Outgoing White House press secretary Sean Spicer is graciously still doing his thing behind the scenes. Spicer, who resigned earlier this month, is expected to officially leave the Trump administration sometime in August. His resignation came as a bit of a surprise, but it’s been presented as though Spicer wanted to give new communications director Anthony Scaramucci a clean slate to work with.

As the Hill shares, Spicer’s effectively out of the spotlight, but his name is still getting dragged out by those that are lacking in material for their political points. Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) dropped additional evidence of how her mind works on social media recently, and Spicer was among the topics.

“Mike Pence is somewhere planning an inauguration. Priebus and Spicer will lead the transition,” she wrote.

Alright. To interpret her line of reasoning, it’s just a matter of time before President Donald Trump is impeached. Waters has been pounding that drum on a nonstop basis, but she doesn’t seem to have a clear grasp on how the impeachment process works. In short, there needs to be grounds for impeachment before it’s even considered. There is none when it comes to Trump.

There’s all sorts of conspiracy theories out there, but there’s zero in the line of concrete evidence. While Waters really wants it to happen, she’s going to have to do better on the logic front. Constantly calling for something that’s not based on reality is a horrible look for an elected official, regardless of which side of the aisle you call home.

As for Spicer, he couldn’t resist taking the bait on this one and dropping an epic reply to Waters.

“When and if @mike_pence runs in 2024 I would proudly play any role he asks Good to know you have already conceded that,” he wrote.

It would be absolutely lovely if Waters and the other members of the anti-Trump delegation would pipe down a lot and focus on the business at hand. There’s a whole lot more work on the plate of Congress than to just stand around and argue over conspiracy theories all day. Waters dislikes Trump. Message heard loud and clear. Can she perhaps stop calling attention to that fact every time a microphone is in her face and focus on actually doing something that benefits the American people?

That wish will likely go unheeded, as Waters seems determined to do her part to attempt to drive Trump out of office. How noble and patriotic of her. The logic behind her line of thinking is downright incomprehensible, but she’s far from the only person guilty of seeing things through those lenses.

On the Spicer front, no word on what his next move is, but there has been a ton of speculation that he could take a job with one of the networks as a political commentator. That will be an interesting change in perspective for him, to say the least. By most accounts, Spicer is a genuinely good guy that extended maximum effort for the Trump administration. We wish him nothing but the best wherever the future may take him.
