RNC Chairman Says Clinton's Email Deletion May Be Criminal

On Monday, Republican National Committee Chair Reince Priebus spoke to Fox News stating that Hillary Clinton's action of wiping all the emails from her in-home server may be "criminal in nature."

Priebus also said, “I mean this is intentional behavior, which in many cases, Steve, is criminal in nature. I mean, you cannot just destroy documents when an agency is telling you to turn them over.”

Clinton said that she already handed over all emails that had to do with government business and erased the rest. She describes the deleted emails as personal in nature--from messages about her ailing mother to communications regarding her daughter's wedding.

On Friday, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) said that Clinton "decided to wipe her server clean and permanently delete all emails from her personal server." When it comes to Nixon comparisons, Priebus said, "Even Nixon didn't destroy the tapes. And when you think about what it takes to wipe a server clean, you have to go to pretty great lengths to do that. So the real questions is, is the server actually wiped clean?"
