Rand Paul's Campaign Will Focus On Clinton's Dishonesty

The day that Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul announced his presidential primary bid, he insinuated that he plans to call Hillary Clinton out on her "hypocrisy" and the culture of dishonesty that has surrounded her public life.

Of the issue, Paul said, "I think you should obey the law and I think nobody should be above the law. And I think, clearly, Hillary Clinton, by all appearances, seemed to be evading the law. … [T]he whole idea that she evaded the federal law … is something that's going to trouble a lot of American voters. [Y]ou combine that with the shenanigans that have been going on at the Clinton Foundation. We see this trail of money that's going roundabout from government to foundations to Bill Clinton to shareholders of big companies that had to be approved by Hillary Clinton when she was secretary of state."

Paul also discussed Hillary Clinton during an interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity saying, "She wants to be a champion for women's rights, and yet she takes money from countries that are some of the worst abusers. She was in charge of approving business deals as secretary of state … for anything that relates to our security. There's going to be something coming out in the next few weeks of companies she approved deals for … [that gave] significant amounts, over $100 million, being given to her foundation." Hannity then asked, "Do you think Clinton lied about Benghazi?" Paul responded by saying, "I think the question is at 3 a.m., why didn't she pick up the phone?"
