Jindal: Media And Democrats Won't Tolterate Christian Beliefs

Democrats and news reporters are hostile to Christian beliefs, according to Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.

“In America, there used to be a time (when) the left, and the media even, celebrated diversity and tolerated free speech and religious liberty,” the potential Republican presidential candidate said Thursday during a radio interview in Iowa. “The sad truth is that’s no longer true. They tolerate anybody that agrees with them and nobody else.”

Jindal charged that “Hollywood, the media elite (and) the left … want us all to act, think, talk like them.” He said, “it all starts with a secularized America, and it certainly does not allow you to call radical Islamic terrorism the problem.”

“The only group, it seems like, that the left is willing to discriminate against today are evangelical Christians and others with traditional values and beliefs,” the governor added. “You saw this, not only with radical Islamic terrorism; you saw it with Phil Robertson of ‘Duck Dynasty.’ He made some comments they didn’t like. They wanted to get his show canceled.”

Opposing Views pointed out that Robertson came under fire last year for comparing homosexuality with Beastiality, and asserting that African-Americans in the past were content to live under racist laws.
