Ivanka Trump Warns Roy Moore: You're Going To Hell!

Ivanka Trump, unlike her father, is more than willing to tell people what she thinks of Roy Moore.

“There’s a special place in hell for people who prey on children,” the first daughter told The Associated Press, referring to the Alabama Senate candidate who allegedly assaulted teenage girls. Six women have come forward with their stories of Moore sexually harassing or trying to rape them in the past. One of the accusers said she was 14 years old when the former judge molested her. Three other purported victims also were underage, according to The Washington Post.

“I’ve yet to see a valid explanation and I have no reason to doubt the victims’ accounts,” said the president’s eldest daughter, an unpaid White House assistant. However, she did not call on Moore to end his campaign, according to The Hill. Next month’s special election in Alabama became necessary when the president named former Sen. Jeff Sessions attorney general earlier this year. Moore won the Republican primary, with the help of Trump’s former White House chief strategist, Steve Bannon. The president, as well as establishment congressional Republicans, backed the losing candidate.

The recent revelations have left Moore with little support on Capitol Hill. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan are demanding that he drop out of the race. McConnell said party officials are looking at several options in their attempt to keep the Senate seat in GOP hands. One possibility is a write-in campaign by Sessions or another Republican.

The president is one of the few national leaders who has not called for Moore’s withdrawal. When asked about the scandal on Saturday, during his 13-day tour of Asian countries, Trump claimed he had not “been able to devote very much time to it.” He is reportedly reluctant to weigh in on the matter because of his own history of abuse. Trump was caught on tape admitting that he had committed sexual assault. A number of women have accused him of groping them over the years.

The Hill reported that on Friday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters the president had not determined whether Moore was guilty of wrongdoing. However, she said the candidate should end his Senate bid if the women’s allegations are accurate.

Moore continues to deny all the charges, claiming they are politically motivated. “Why do you think they’re giving me trouble?” he asked on Tuesday. “Why do you think I’m being harassed by media, and by people pushing forward allegations in the last 28 days in this election? I’m the only one who could unite Democrats and Republicans, because I seem to be opposed by both. They’ve spent over $30 million trying to take me out.”

The accusations concerning Moore are coming out at the same time that powerful men in other professions are facing charges of sexual misconduct. Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey are among those defending themselves. Many news outlets have pointed out that women, as well as male victims, are becoming more emboldened to speak out.
