Bob Woodward Says Hillary Clinton Was ‘Corrupt’

“It’s corrupt” and “it’s a scandal” that Hillary Clinton solicited contributions for the Clinton Foundation while she was secretary of state, veteran journalist Bob Woodward declared Sunday.

According to Newsmax, the reporter suggested on Fox News that Clinton had a “pay-for-play” policy for foundation donors who sought favors from the State Department. Woodward told interviewer Chris Wallace that voters should be worried about electing Clinton president.

The journalist noted that Wallace, who moderated the last presidential debate, asked the Democratic nominee about the controversy. “She didn’t answer your question at all, and she turned to embrace the good work that the Clinton Foundation has done,” Woodward said. “But the mixing of speech fees, the Clinton Foundation and actions by the State Department which she ran are all intertwined. And it’s corrupt. You can’t just say it’s unsavory, but there’s no formal investigation going on now, and there are outs that they have.”

The reporter ridiculed Trump for refusing to commit to accepting the results of the election. “That’s absurd,” he said. “It has no consequence.”

“If Trump loses they’re not going to let him in the White House. He’s not going to have a transition team. To focus on that is wrong,” he continued.

Woodward rose to fame in 1972, when stories he and Carl Bernstein wrote for The Washington Post uncovered the Watergate scandal that led to President Richard Nixon’s resignation.
