Ben Carson Urges Speaker Paul Ryan Not To Divide The Republican Party

Former Republican presidential candidate, Ben Carson, is working with Donald Trump to help him find a running mate. Yesterday, he spoke with MSNBC about Speaker Paul Ryan saying he wasn't ready to support Donald Trump.

Carson was asked what he thought Trump should do to try to heal that division. Carson responded, "Well, I was -- I was personally very disappointed to hear Speaker Ryan say that, because we need to be thinking about unity. If we divide the party, we ensure the victory of, you know, the opposite party. And we have to be a bit more mature than that."

Carson continued, "So, you know, I hope Speaker Ryan and many others as time goes on will begin to understand that, realize that we have to work together. It's not that you -- you don't have another choice. So, you get behind the choice that you have, whether you personally like them or not. If, in fact, you're a believer."
