Mother Immediately Arrested After She Reveals To Doctors What Her Dying Child Ate

Tyler Dauzat, a 21-year-old mother from Louisiana, told authorities she had no idea why her daughter was acting erratically and displaying strange behaving. After the 2-year-old was rushed to the hospital, authorities quickly discovered that Dauzat not only knew what was wrong with her daughter, Dauzat was responsible for her falling ill.

According to AWM, Dauzat eventually changed her story when the police arrived after staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital found dangerous levels of methamphetamine in her daughter’s blood. Doctors determined that the child has ingested the illegal drug. The 2-year-old was stabilized and transferred to the Our Lady of the Lake Pediatric Unit.

Dauzat was reportedly uncooperative with police and medical staff at first but eventually admitted that she left her daughter alone in a local hotel room with her purse that contained powered crystal meth.

The Gonzales Police Department arrested Dauzat and charged her with one count of negligent injuring, one count of cruelty to juveniles, one count of ill use of CDS in the presence of a juvenile and one count of improper supervision of a minor, according to a press release.

In addition to her 2-year-old, Dauzat also has a 4-year-old child. Authorities will determine if she should be allowed to retain custody of her children.
