Heather Locklear Arrested Again, Charged With Battery Again After Kicking Police

Actress Heather Locklear continues to spiral out of control. In February, she was arrested when police arrived at her home after a domestic violence incident was reported. The 56-year-old star got lucky and charges against her were dropped in March. On Sunday, though, She was arrested again.

First she was brought to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, then police brought her to jail. She's been charged this time with two misdemeanor counts of batter after allegedly kicking police officers.

Locklear was at her home on Sunday in Thousand Oaks, California when Sheriff's deputies responded to calls about a disturbance at around 6 pm. When officers arrived, they found nothing illegal going on, so they left.

Later that night, a second call came in about the residence at 11 pm. This time, when officers arrived, they stumbled upon the scene of a domestic disturbance involving the television star and an unnamed party. This time, police found the celebrity 'extremely intoxicated and very uncooperative', noted Sgt. Eric Buschow of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department.

Locklear allegedly kicked one of the deputies in the leg while he was trying to assess the situation. She was put in handcuffs and taken into custody immediately.

Buschow told CNN that Locklear was brought directly to the hospital to be medically evaluated due to her intoxicated state. Reports say medical staff conducted a psychiatric evaluation and she was released into police custody. Police brought Locklear to jail and she was charged with two misdemeanor counts of battery.

Locklear was involved in a similar domestic dispute back in February. When officers came to her home responding to a domestic disturbance call from her brother. He arrived at the home and found Locklear and her boyfriend, motorcycle racer Chris Heisser, embroiled in violent argument.

When police arrived, Locklear reportedly kicked three of them. She was arrested and charged with one count of felony domestic violence and three counts of misdemeanor battery on a police officer, as well as resisting arrest. She reportedly threatened to shoot the officers if they ever came back to her home.

In March, the charges against her were dropped.

Locklear's troubles seem to be increasing. In January of 2012, her sister called 911 to report the star took a mixture of prescription drugs and alcohol. Locklear spent a night in the hospital.

In 2008, a call came in from someone claiming to be Locklear's doctor, reporting that she attempted suicide. Her agent confirmed at the time that she was suffering from depression and anxiety.

Several months before that incident, she was arrested for driving under the influence.

Locklear has a long and illustrious career in television, working almost continuously on popular shows for more than two decades.
