Man Tells Pit To Attack Officers, Dog Does This Instead

A Florida pit bull has gained a slew of admirers in police departments across the United States. According to the Daily News, this pit bull fights for the good guys, despite being owned by one of the bad guys.

Avery Davis, 26, was tracked down by police as a potential suspect in a recent robbery. When the cops approached him, Davis was carrying with him a suspicious assortment of goods, and the police requested that he lay down and spread ‘em.

He did not take too kindly to the officer’s instructions and decided that the best course of action was to high-tail it out of there with his trusted pit bull in tow. The cops would catch up to him and slow him down with a stun gun, at which point Davis would direct his pit bull to attack the officers.

The dog weighed his options and decided to bite his owner on the buttocks instead. Davis would somehow slip away once again, before being tracked down by the officers hiding under a vehicle in a nearby apartment complex. No word on whether he was hiding from the cops or his dog.
