Family Terrified By Uninvited Guest Living In Their Christmas Tree

A woman in Australia put the usual tinsel and ornaments on her Christmas tree, but there was one more thing on those boughs that she didn't anticipate: a deadly snake.

The woman, known only as Cheryl, said the gold-colored snake was well camouflaged among the gold-colored ornaments and tinsel. She woke up in the morning and was admiring the tree when she realized what she was staring at was not garland.

Cheryl snapped a picture of the holiday intruder and called Barry Goldsmith, the 'Snake Catcher Victoria.’

“She didn’t panic,” Goldsmith wrote on his Facebook. “She just took a photo and sent it to the snake catcher, me, and 20 minutes later I had the little bugger in a bag. Ho Ho Ho.”

Goldsmith says snakes hide in any place they find: book cases, boots, toilet. This is the first time he had to get one out of a Christmas tree, but he considers it 'just another day in the office.’
