You Won't Believe The Secret This Airbnb House Is Hiding

Airbnb can be a great way to find a home away from home. Sometimes, it can even provide a big surprise or two. For example: If you’ve been itching to stay in the president’s pad, you’re in luck. Before you get too excited, the chances of you scoring an invite to bunk up in the White House remain as remote as they were before. However, you can stay in one of President Donald Trump’s former digs - but be forewarned that it doesn’t come cheap. As the Daily Mail shares, the owner of Trump’s childhood home is marketing it for rent on Airbnb.

Real estate developer Michael Davis snapped up Trump’s childhood home in Queens, New York last December for a cool $1.39 million, and he promptly flipped it over to his new business partners in March for $2.14 million. That’s a pretty healthy profit for a three-month holding period. Davis and his partners are looking to cash in, and they’re advertising the home for rent on Airbnb. For just $725 a night, you can tell everyone you know that you slept in the president’s childhood home.

“In 1946, Donald Trump was born to Fred and Mary Trump, and brought home to Jamaica Estates. Here they lived, in a home built by Fred himself. This is their home. 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 14 beds and 2 sofa beds,” the listing reads in part. “Not much has been changed since the Trumps lived here, the kitchen is original and the opulent furnishings represent the style and affluence in which the Trumps would have lived. This is a unique and special opportunity to stay in the home of a sitting president.”

Based on the amount of bedrooms and beds, it could make sense for large families or families that vacation together, but then you would have to talk everyone into spending their vacation time in Jamaica, Queens. While New York City certainly has its charms and sights to see, there are better bangs for the buck out there, especially for larger groups.

In any event, the listing is clear to note that it’s completely independent of the commander-in-chief.

“This listing has no relationship with the White House, the President, Donald Trump or the Trump organization in any way,” the listing reads.

However, there is an interesting amenity that you can be sure will be making it into a ton of vacation photos for those that take the plunge.

“There is a giant cutout of Donald in the Living Room, he is a great companion for watching the news late into the night…” according to the listing.

Cardboard cutout aside, that’s a ton of cash to pony up. Nonetheless, we would expect the listing to attract some interest. Whether that interest is of the long-term variety remains to be seen, and we can expect the nightly price to fluctuate until the sweet spot is found. For an additional incentive, the enterprising owner has added some features that just may be too enticing to pass up.

“I have laundry and will be glad to help you with access if you need it. I also have extra linens if needed as well! I can give you area tips, and help you make the most of your time here in NYC,” the listing adds.
