You Won't Believe The Note An Angry Neighbor Left On An Ambulance

It’s a busy world out there, but that doesn’t give people the right to act like neanderthals because they may be in a hurry. Unfortunately, there are some folks that feel like they are perfectly entitled to behave that way when they’re rushed. You see, their needs trump all - or so that line of thinking goes. Reality suggests otherwise, and once in awhile those folks will get some long overdue comeuppance. We can include the person behind this vile note in that category.

As Little Things shares, an ambulance arrived on the scene of an emergency in West Midlands, England. There was a man in dire need of help, and the crew raced to get to him as soon as they arrived. While doing so, they inadvertently blocked a neighbor into their driveway. This minor inconvenience was apparently a crisis of cataclysmic proportions for the aggrieved neighbor, who would have the gall to leave this unconscionable note.

“You may be saving lives, but don’t park your van in a stupid place and block my drive,” the note read.

The ambulance crew was understandably taken aback by such a lack of compassion. Instead of just letting it go, the crew shared the note on social media for all to see.

“Sometimes we just don't know what to say. This was the note left on an ambulance today. At the time, the crew were helping a man who was extremely unwell after vomiting blood,” the crew posted. “They took him on blue lights to hospital where he was in a critical condition.”

That post quickly went viral, and scores of users joined the crew in their prayers for humanity.

“I never want to be so self involved and lack perspective so much that I even feel tempted to think this - let alone post this note in the window of an ambulance,” shared one user.

“Patient comes first. I can't believe that there are some very selfish people in this world who are more worried about their drives than other people's lives,” wrote one commenter.

“On behalf of everyone I’d just like to say that everyone thoroughly respects and is grateful for the job that and every other ambulance crew does. They must have difficult days and should never let a petty note like that get them down,” added another poster.

We can only hope that the note writer got wind of the viral sensation they were directly responsible for. In a perfect world, the party responsible for the note saw the note for what it was: the sign of a ridiculously self-centered person with a warped interpretation of their standing in the world. Is a little understanding really all that much to ask for in an emergency situation?

Apparently, it is for this person, and that’s truly unfortunate. There may come a time when they find themselves in need. Maybe then it will sink in that certain things really do trump all, but it’s certainly not inconsequential things like minor inconveniences.
