Woman Disrespected Veteran’s Memorial - Gets Hit With Justice

A woman in the UK has developed a reputation as a public urinator. The British woman claims she was against World War I, which ended in 1918, and so she is taking a stand against it. More accurately, she's taking a squat.

She's been urinating on public monuments. Now a judge is throwing the book at her.

Kelly Martin was arrested for urinating on one war monument back in April. She did the deed right in front of visitors, who were shocked at Martin's choice of expression.

The first time, Martin only got a slap on the wrists. She pushed her luck, however, when she went back to the same memorial in June and decided to make her mark in protest again.

To make matters worse, Martin tossed a bottle at a paramedic who responded to the call, and rubbed her bare butt on his leg.

The judge did not take the repeat offense lightly. “Each of these offenses is so serious that only a custodial sentence is appropriate. The two cases of outraging public decency involve urinating on a war memorial," said Judge John Lodge.

"Inevitably war memorials were constructed at the center of towns and villages so on a daily basis people could be reminded of the sacrifices made by people who died... What makes your case particularly bad is having been caught doing it one time, when the nation was commemorating the worst battle of the First World War you were caught doing it again in the middle of the day.”

Martin screamed 'F--k this!' at the judge as she was being escorted out of the courtroom.

Hopefully over the next seven months she'll cool down and re-think her protest. There are more effective ways -- legal ways - to get your message across.
