Woman Under Fire After Walking Through IKEA Half-Naked (Photos)

IKEA has said that a woman pictured on Chinese social media shopping for furniture while half naked was not shopping in their store, and has reported the allegation to police.

MailOnline reports that two photos of the woman, who wasn’t wearing pants or underwear, were posted on Weibo, the Twitter of China, with the caption, “I finally understand why you Beijing residents like shopping in IKEA…”

A sign that said “foam mattresses” and people carrying yellow shopping bags were also in the picture, which has been removed by the user. Some people suggested that it was a marketing stunt by IKEA, but the company denied it.

“This is a public place and it was in Beijing,” commenter Didi Zhang said. “It would be very easy to find out the truth because all stores and roads have surveillance cameras.”

Social media users made similar claims about the company Uniqlo after a sex-tape of a young couple having sex inside one of their fitting room was shared online, MailOnline reports. Uniqlo denied the claim, and the man who upload the photos was arrested.

Others said the girl was just trying to get her 15 minutes of fame.

“Some people can do crazy things in order to be famous,” Luo bo zai jia said.
