Woman Leaves 1-Year-Old With Her Boyfriend, Returns To Her Worst Nightmare

The family home is meant to be a safe and secure environment for children to learn and play under the loving eye of their parents. This idea has been shattered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after an immensely disturbing story emerged in December 2015 detailing neglect, sexual abuse, violence, and murder towards a 1-year-old child. The Tulsa Police Department have labeled the incident “One of the worst child sex abuse cases they've ever seen”. On 6 December 2015, Tulsa Police Officer questioned the unnamed child’s mother and subsequently arrested her boyfriend, 20-year-old Cody Alan Johnson on charges of physical abuse of a child, sexual abuse of a child and first-degree murder.

The unnamed mother of the child allegedly shares a home with Mr. Alan Johnson and received a call on 5 December, from her boyfriend, telling her that her daughter had “slipped on her pajamas and fell on a toy”. After her mother saw the true extent of her daughter’s injuries, she took the 1-year-old to the emergency room at the local hospital where medical staff informed her that the story she had been told was almost certainly a fabrication. The unnamed toddler was unresponsive and was believed to be in cardiac arrest. Ina repulsive turn of the events, the brutalized young girl was found to have "numerous visible facial contusions and bruising and bleeding coming from both the child's vagina and rectum".

This horrific and disturbing case of sexual and physical abuse towards a 1 year old child has horrified the Tulsa community with the leader of the Tulsa Police Department’s child crisis unit indicating it’s one of the worst cases he’s seen, saying “We've seen some pretty badly beaten and abused kids over the years, but this one's pretty bad. I mean, it is pretty bad”. At this stage of the investigation, Tulsa police do not believe the child’s mother knew of her boyfriend’s disgusting behavior and authorities are still waiting on Mr. Alan Johnson’s DNA results.
