Woman Hands A UPS Driver This Package - He Immediately Calls The Cops

A UPS driver played a key role in rescuing a kidnapped woman and her child in Missouri last week. The woman told police afterwards that her husband refused to let her leave the home, and he punched her, slapped her and sexually assaulted her.

When the UPS driver showed up at the house, the husband was standing behind her holding a gun, but she managed to write “Call 911” on the package without him seeing.

The police praised the driver for his role in helping the desperate woman.

“He was a huge help,” Franklin County Sheriff's Department Sgt. T.J. Wild noted.

The situation unfolded last week when a UPS driver showed up to pick up a package at a residence in Robertsville, Missouri.

A woman answered the door and handed over a package with the words “Call 911” scribbled across the front.

The UPS driver told police, and a while later, a SWAT team swarmed the residence.

Police discovered a woman being held captive by her own husband, 33-year-old James Tyler Jordan, and arrested him.

Of note, the couple’s three-year-old child had been also locked in a bedroom for 15 hours without food or water.

“We are grateful this UPS driver with more than a decade of service followed protocol when he saw a customer in distress and contacted authorities after he saw her message to contact 9-1-1,” UPS commented in a statement. “Our drivers are very familiar with their routes, and are trained to be aware of their surroundings and respond to requests for assistance.”

Of note, Jordan is currently looking at charges of domestic assault, sodomy without consent, felonious restraint, unlawful use of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child.
